Ant-Man is a hero that can be said to be “unique” compared to other hero characters in Marvel movies or comics. If the hero is usually depicted with something great, and big, Ant-Man comes with the opposite form. This hero is as big as an ant but his strength is extraordinary. Ant-Man is able to fight all his enemies who are fairly large with his extra small body.

Origin and Power of Ant Man
Antman’s origins date back to 1989, when a scientist named Hank Pym resigned from S.H.I.E.L.D after he learned that they were trying to copy his Ant-Man shrinking technology. Hank Pym was the first Antman before Scott Lang. Scott Lang himself was born and raised in Coral Gables, Florida. He is a son of Bob Lang.
Antman’s first strength is being able to make his body small to the size of an ant. He could even make his body into a giant nearly 20 meters tall. As he shrunk to the size of an ant, his strength was the same as his original form. An Ant-Man’s shrinking punch is on par with an average adult’s punch.
Another Antman strength is that he can become a giant and become stronger and tougher than normal humans. This makes it able to withstand missile attacks launched by the War Machine during Civil War. However this also affects his speed and balance. When in giant size, Lang’s attacks will be slower than usual.

Two Facts about Ant
1. Most of the ants you see are female
Ants have a caste system. There is a division of responsibilities between them. The queen is the founder of the colony, and her role is to lay eggs. The worker ants are all female, and they are responsible for the harmonious work of the colony.
Their duties range from caring for the queen and young, foraging for food, monitoring conflicts in the colony, and removing feces. Worker ants will most likely never have offspring of their own. Most of the eggs develop as workers, but once the colony is ready, the queen produces the next reproductive generation which will continue its life to start a colony of its own.
2. After the queen hasn’t eaten for weeks
When conditions are warm and humid, the virgin queen and winged male leave the nest in search of a mate. This is the behavior seen on “flying ant day”. In L. niger species, mating occurs during flight, often hundreds of meters above the ground and requires good weather. After that, the queens fall to the ground and shed their wings, while the males soon die. The mated queen then selects a site for the nest and digs into the soft soil from the recent rains.
