Inspired by the creator’s daughter
Dokter is the co-creator of Inside Out and has also worked in Movie Up. One day, he found out about the change of personality in her daughter. Then, he was inspired to create a movie about emotions that change personality. In creating the movie, he already consulted with numerous psychologists.
Designing the Emotion
Riley’s emotions form is incorporated intentionally to their nature. For example, disgust is a broccoli, anger is a brick, Joy is a star, and sadness is a tear. This shows how detailed the creator of Inside out. Despite that, the team on the Animation production was fewer than the previous films. On Inside out, there were only 45 persons on the team.
The First Idea
Firstly, the idea of Inside Out would highlight the journey of Fear and Joy. However, Joy was lastly replaced by Sadness. It was because the creator wants to set a tone in Inside Out to be softer. Moreover, the production process had to start over because of the changing of the premise.
Sequel?
Good news for all Inside Out fans. The sequel of Inside Out will be released in 2022. Many news said that the production process has already started. Then, let’s wait for the next news from Disney and Pixar.
