The Executive Director of The Show, Sean Coyle posits that Bingo and Rolly are made according to the behavior of 3-4 years old kids. At that age, a kid has a high-level curiousness that is resembled Bingo and Rolly’s detective work. Moreover, it is also related to their show market that is young kids who still like to learn new things.
Involving Kids
Besides the show’s inspiration, the show also tries to involve kids as much as they can in the production. For example, Bingo and Rolly are voiced by children’s voice actors. Other than that, the characters who have little screen time, such as Chloe, Keia, etc are also voiced by children.
Why Pugs?
Pugs are insanely cute and everybody knows it. That exact reason is also the biggest consideration when creating the character Bingo and Rolly. The creator, Harland Williams chose pugs as the characters, because they would be adorable on-screen.
