Princess Tiana is one of the insightful Disney Princesses. She is the lead character of The Princess and the Frog. One popular saying by Princess Tiana is “My daddy never did get what he wanted. But he had what he needed. He had love! He never lost sight of what was really important! And neither will I.”
The Princess and the Frog movie was first aired in 2009. It tells about a girl who has a big dream. She is a gifted cook and has a dream to open her own restaurant. She currently is living in New Orleans during the Jazz Age. She is so desperate that she shares a kiss with a prince who turns into a frog. Tiana feels so guilty of the curse and fights to go on an adventure to find a cure.

She is the ninth Disney princess and the first African-American princess in the Disney Princess franchise. Before becoming Tiana, her name was Maddy, and worked as a chambermaid. But it brought so many criticisms so Disney changed it to Tiana and a gifted cook.
2. Voice of Tiana
The animators and Disney decided not to bring in the big stars to voice Tiana. They need something fresh and new because they say “it can help with the identification of that animated character with the voice if you don’t get an instant mental picture of the real actor.” After recording some well-known African-American actresses, such as Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, and Tyra Banks; they decided to choose Anika Noni Rose to voice Princess Tiana.
